Magnify, come glorify Christ Jesus, the King.
Majesty, worship His Majesty,

Jesus who died, now glorified, King of all Kings.

Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  1. PSALM READING (RESPONSIVE READING) : Psalm 146:1-10

146:1   Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, my soul.

146:2   I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.

146:3   Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save.

146:4   When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing.

146:5   Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD their God.

146:6   He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them — he remains faithful forever.

146:7   He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free,

146:8   the LORD gives sight to the blind, the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down, the LORD loves the righteous.

146:9   The LORD watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.

146:10   The LORD reigns forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the LORD.

  1. THANKSGIVING PRAYER, CONFESSION of SIN

  1. LAW OF GOD – THE GREAT COMMANDMENT (Matthew 22:37-40)

22:37   Jesus replied: “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

22:38   This is the first and greatest commandment.

22:39   And the second is like it: ’Love your neighbor as yourself.’

22:40   All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

  1. HYMN : I Love You Lord (Aku Cinta Kau Tuhan)

I love you, Lord and I lift my voice
To worship you oh my soul rejoice
Take joy, my king in what you hear
May it be a sweet sweet sound
In your ear

I can hear my Savior calling,

Where He leads me I will follow,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way.

READING PRAYER

SERMON TEXT : Romans 8:14-17

8:14   For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

8:15   The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, Father.”

8:16   The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

8:17   Now if we are children, then we are heirs —heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

(Stand Up)

THE APOSTLE’S CREED (CONFESS IN UNISON)

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.

He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit

and born of the Virgin Mary.

He suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended to the dead.

On the third day he rose again.

He ascended into heaven,

and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy catholic Church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and the life everlasting.

Catholic Church = Universal Church

  1. HYMN : As The Deer Pants For The Water (S’perti Rusa Rindu SungaiMu)

As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after Thee
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship Thee

You alone are my strength, my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship Thee

You’re my friend
And You are my brother
Even though You are a King
I love You more than any other
So much more than anything

You alone are my strength, my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship Thee

(Stand Up)

  1. THE LORD’S PRAYER (Pray in Unison)

Our Father, who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name.

Thy Kingdom come,

thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,

the power and the glory,

for ever and ever.

Amen

  1. OFFERING : Psalm 92:1

It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High,

HYMN : Yesterday, Today, Forever (Sungguh Indah Kabar Mulia – KJ. 383:1-2)

1) Oh, how sweet the glorious message simple faith may claim:
Yesterday, today, forever, Jesus is the same;
Still He loves to save the sinful, heal the sick and lame,
Cheer the mourner, still the tempest glory to His name!

Refrain : Yesterday, today, forever, Jesus is the same,
All may change, but Jesus never glory to His name!
Glory to His name! Glory to His name!
All may change, but Jesus never glory to His name!

2) He who was the friend of sinners seeks the lost one now:
Sinner, come, and at His footstool penitently bow;
He who said, “I’ll not condemn thee, go and sin no more,”
Speaks to thee that word of pardon as in days of yore.
Refrain
